Brooklyn, NY, 440 Gallery is pleased to present TRASH, a group exhibition exploring the enduring role of discarded materials and found objects. The exhibition brings together 440 Gallery artists who turn what society throws away into works of reflection, critique, and renewal.
Artists have long challenged conventional ideas of value by incorporating discarded materials into their work. Continuing this tradition, TRASH presents sculpture, collage, painting, installation, and mixed-media works that transform salvaged plastics, paper, metal, fabric, and everyday debris into objects of beauty. By reimagining what is overlooked or abandoned, the exhibition explores how waste can carry memory, history, and social meaning, inviting viewers to reconsider the boundaries between refuse and resource, loss and renewal.
