MeetDaisy Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 17, 2025

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Meet Daisy, Inc. (“MeetDaisy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information from users (“you”) when you access our website, mobile or web applications, widgets, or related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using MeetDaisy, you consent to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

2. What We Collect

We collect information in three main ways: directly from you, automatically through your device, and from publicly available data sources.

2.1 Information You Provide

Account or Profile Information: When you create an account, submit an event, or claim a calendar, we collect your name, email address, and (optionally) social media handles or organization details.

Newsletter Signup: When you subscribe to MeetDaisy newsletters (via Klaviyo), we collect your name, email, and marketing preferences.

Contact or Support Requests: When you contact us (via email or form), we may collect the contents of your message and any attachments.

2.2 Information We Collect Automatically

Approximate Location: We collect city- or region-level location data from your browser or device to show nearby events. You can disable location permissions in your browser or device settings.

Usage and Device Data: We automatically collect IP address, browser type, referring URLs, and pages visited. This helps us analyze performance and improve user experience.

Cookies and Pixels: We use cookies and similar technologies to personalize ads and measure engagement. These include Google AdSense, Google Analytics, Klaviyo, Facebook Pixel, and Reddit Pixel.

2.3 Publicly Available Data

For unclaimed calendars, MeetDaisy may collect and display publicly available event data and business information from open data feeds and authorized APIs. This information is used solely to display events and assist with discovery.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to: operate and improve the MeetDaisy platform; display personalized events and relevant ads; communicate with you about updates, newsletters, or platform changes; process event submissions and verify claimed calendars; detect, prevent, and respond to security or fraud issues; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files stored on your browser or device. We use them to: keep you logged in; remember preferences (like region or calendar subscriptions); analyze traffic and user activity; and serve and personalize ads through Google AdSense and other ad networks. You can adjust cookie settings in your browser at any time or opt out of personalized ads via Google Ad Settings. We use Google Analytics to understand usage patterns and Klaviyo to track newsletter engagement. We also use Facebook and Reddit Pixels for limited marketing analytics and ad conversion tracking.

We group cookies into two categories: Essential (required for the site to function and cannot be disabled) and Non-Essential (analytics and advertising, which you can accept or reject).

For more details about the cookies we use and how to manage your preferences, please see our Cookie Policy. You can also change your preferences at any time using the on-site controls such as “Cookie settings” or “Do not sell or share my personal information.”

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell or trade user data. We may share limited information only with: Service Providers that support our operations (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Heroku, Klaviyo); Analytics and Ad Partners like Google and Meta, solely to operate analytics and ad delivery systems; Legal Authorities, if required to comply with the law or respond to lawful requests. All third-party service providers are contractually bound to handle data only for the purposes we specify.

When you enable Non-Essential cookies, our analytics and advertising partners may set or read cookies solely to provide measurement and ad services in accordance with your preferences.

6. Data Retention

We retain data for as long as necessary to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. Account information, event submissions, and analytics data may be retained in backups for operational security and troubleshooting. If you unsubscribe from newsletters or delete your account, we will remove or anonymize your personal data within a commercially reasonable time, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to: access or request a copy of your personal information; correct inaccurate or incomplete data; delete your personal data (“right to be forgotten”); and opt out of personalized advertising or marketing emails. To exercise these rights, email hello@meetdaisy.co with “Privacy Request” in the subject line.

California residents: You may opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising by using the “Do not sell or share my personal information” control on our site or by emailing us at hello@meetdaisy.co with “CPRA Request” in the subject line.

8. Children’s Privacy

MeetDaisy is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect or store personal data from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.

9. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted storage, access controls, and HTTPS across all services. We host our platform using AWS, Google Cloud, and Heroku, which maintain industry-standard security certifications. No system is 100% secure. You use the Service at your own risk.

10. International Visitors

MeetDaisy is operated in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer and storage of your data in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from your jurisdiction.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised Policy.
