Oil Painting for Beginners Weekend Workshop: Saturday, August 22nd & Sunday, August 23rd, 10:30am-3:30pm Beat the heat and fall in love with the captivating world of painting. Oil is a flexible and forgiving medium that allows for vivid color, luscious brush strokes, and easy correction…the perfect way to begin your painting journey. In this class you will learn the nuts and bolts of oil painting, from laying out your colors, brush types, paint application, confident color mixing, and the role values play in creating a compelling design. Along the way, Meg will discuss composition and demonstrate various ways to start a painting, how to create color harmony using a limited palette, and how different surfaces affect your painting.
