Inventors Unleashed: Build, Test, Discover Week 9: July 20 - July 24 What if you could build a working clock by hand? Program a robot to solve a challenge? Mix a shampoo formula like a real scientist? This week, your camper doesn't just hear about famous inventors. They become one! Every day, campers tackle a different invention challenge inspired by history's greatest minds. They'll engineer towering structures and test what makes them stand (like Benjamin Banneker), create their own prototype to solve a real problem (like Madam C.J. Walker), build working electrical circuits to light up bulbs (like Ada Lovelace), and explore how light bends reality with hands-on physics experiments (like Einstein). By Friday, they'll understand what every great inventor knows: the best ideas come from trying, testing, and trying again. This is the week where "what if?" becomes "I built that!" Camp runs from 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM with check-in running from 8:30 AM  – 9:00 AM and check-out running from 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM. What if I can't make it to the check-in or check-out time? For an additional fee, Before Care and After Care is available for those needing early check-in or late check-out. Before Care runs from 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM. After Care runs from 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM. Any camper dropped off before 8:30 AM or after 4:00 PM will be charged the respective Before or After Care fee. Become a member to save! My Camper is starting Kindergarten. Can they join? Campers attending Adventure Science Center camp must be at least 5 years old and have entered Kindergarten to attend camp.   Should I pack a lunch and snack for my child each day? Adventure Science Center camp does not provide lunch or snacks. Campers should bring a snack with them each day and may either bring their own lunch or order food from our on-site Subway. Subway lunch orders must be completed and paid for on Monday morning for the entire week. *Beginning with President's Day Camp 2026, the on-site Subway will no longer be available as a lunch option. Campers are highly encourage do bring a snack or lunch with them.  Should I send my child with money for the gift shop? We do not encourage campers to bring money to camp. Their camp schedule does not include a stop in the gift shop. Cancellation Policy We understand plans change! Please review the following cancellation policies. SUMMER CAMP CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancel before April 1st -  full refund minus $50.
