CATALYST

Bold visions for our neighborhoods need equally bold approaches to development and finance. Join us for CATALYST at the Brower Center in Berkeley, where leaders in community development, housing, finance, and government will explore how regenerative practices can turn ambitious visions for equitable, healthy, and affordable neighborhoods into action. At the heart of CATALYST are two interactive panel conversations, with opportunities to ask questions, exchange perspectives, and explore what these ideas mean for your work: Regenerative community development: How can development strengthen community capacity, deepen relationships to place, and support the long-term health of people and local ecosystems? Regenerative finance: How can financial approaches support those ambitions, and what possibilities emerge when we rethink what development is meant to achieve? These conversations will connect regenerative thinking to practical applications and explore the roles different sectors can play in shifting the development landscape. Then, take the conversation further. A facilitated workshop will offer space to apply regenerative concepts, learn from fellow participants, and build relationships for future collaboration over light refreshments. Whether you shape projects, direct investment, influence policy, or support communities, you’ll leave with practical tools and a clearer sense of the role you can play. You don’t need a background in regenerative practice, just curiosity and a stake in the future of our neighborhoods. Bring your questions. Share your perspective. Register for CATALYST and help shape what comes next. 3:00-5:00 Connected conversation on community development and finance, along with a hands-on workshop.
