About this event
One of 6 upcoming events at Alabama Contemporary Art Center.
This program is a part of the Teaching Artist Project (TAP) – an ongoing partnership between Mobile Arts Council, Mobile Museum of Art, and Alabama Contemporary Art Center. TAP was designed to support Artists in the gig economy who want to develop teaching and skill-share practices as a means for greater financial stability and community engagement. It is a Community of Learning and a Hiring Engine that feeds into three of our major arts organizations: MAC; MMofA; and ACAC Whether you are already an educator, coming from professional art practice, or just creative and looking to be useful to you community; Meet-ups are where we talk about and share training opportunities for new and existing teaching gigs. Teaching opportunities run the gamut of museum and art-studio workshops, trauma-informed outreach programming, school programs, summer camps, and more. We are always looking for artists interested in sharing their skills with the various populations we serve. TAP is interdisciplinary so visual artists, musicians, writers, and other creatives are all welcome! We want to hear what you need, share resources, and present future teacher training opportunities with our partner organizations, snack, drink and be merry. 561 St. Francis St. Mobile, Alabama, 36602 We use cookies to improve your experience on our site.
