Charles Fischer died in an accident, leaving Louisa widowed with six children. She met and married Denis Straub. When they sat for a photograph, it included an empty chair to remember Charles. Denis trained his stepsons in the building and plumbing business. Both of his stepdaughters married men in the trades. Dennis E. will share a second photograph with the entire family gathered in the yard of their home on Hibbard Street.
