Come celebrate Halloween with AWCC. Costumes encouraged! Join us for hayrides, festive crafts, an animal bones exhibit, a scavenger hunt, plus a porcupine presentation. Family-friendly costumes encouraged. Cost: All event activities are FREE with admission. Event time: 11AM – 3PM Halloween Activities & Crafts 11AM – 3PM Location: Bison Hall Explore real and replica animal bones to learn how Alaskan wildlife have uniquely adapted to thrive in their environment and put your animal identification skills to the test! All supplies will be provided to create festive Halloween themed crafts. Pick up a scavenger hunt sheet and check off items you see as you explore the sanctuary. Return the completed scavenger hunt for a prize! Pumpkin Porcupine Presentation Location: Bison Hall Classroom Meet one of AWCC’s resident North American porcupines up close and learn all about the lives of porcupines. During the presentation the porcupine will be offered a pumpkin enrichment. Hayrides Pick-Up & Drop-Off Location: In front of the Animal Infirmary A Naturalist guide will lead the tour as the covered hay trailer travels through the sanctuary. Guests can wait in Bison Hall for the next available hayride. Costumes encouraged!* *To ensure a fun and safe environment for all attendees, costumes must be family-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive, objectionable, or violent. AWCC reserves the right to deny admission to or remove any person wearing a costume that could detract from the experience of other guests or the comfort of the resident animals.
