Beginner’s Mushroom ID at Dead Man’s Hollow

Join ALT staff and WPMC Identifier Julie for a mushroom hunt and ID table at Dead Man’s Hollow! This will not be a traditional guided hike. Instead, after a brief introduction at the start, attendees will be off on their own to search for fungi and slime molds to bring back to an identification table at the end. We’ll then learn about the fascinating fungi that everyone found! Hike runs rain or shine, NO WALK INS will be permitted. Please pull through the first gravel lot and park in the second lot closer to the trails and the kiosk. We will not be foraging on this hike or discussing edibility. Foraging for mushrooms can be risky and it is never safe to eat a wild mushroom unless an expert confirms the identity. TICKETS
