Tree Planting: Girty’s Woods

The woods are settling in for the dormant season, but we have a few more trees to get tucked into the ground! Join us for one last hurrah of 2026 tree planting in Girty’s Woods. We’ll hike Girty’s established trail system, spotting retired trails and access roads to plant trees in areas with available sunlight. Volunteers will use cargo sleds to haul gear, shovels to plant trees, and mallets to install deer protection. Expect to hike up to three miles on uneven terrain. Tools and gloves will be provided. Please bring a reusable water bottle. There are no restrooms on site. Registration
