About this event
One of 439 upcoming events at Alliance for the Arts, and 1,320 across Fort Myers.
In this fun and relaxed four-week series, you’ll discover the building blocks of crochet while creating a beginner-friendly fall pumpkin. This class is designed for anyone who has wanted to learn to crochet, no prior experience required. We’ll begin with the fundamentals, including yarn and hook basics, how to hold your materials, tension control, and the essential crochet techniques you’ll need to get started. You’ll learn how to create a slip knot and chain before progressing to basic crochet stitches as we work through the project together. Each session we’ll build on the previous weeks, giving you plenty of time to practice, ask questions, and receive hands on guidance along the way. By the end of the series, you’ll have completed your fall pumpkin and gained a foundation of skills you can continue to build on as you explore crochet on your own.
