As the name suggests, this exhibition features pieces created by artists working in a wide variety of media from all over the 65,000 square miles that make up Florida. The juried entries come together for an award-winning and exciting exhibition representing today’s contemporary Florida artists. _____________________________________________________________ Foulds Theater Gallery Selected Works by Leo Boisvert Leo Boisvert is a contemporary eclectic painter and landscape/nature photographer based in Fort Myers, Florida. Originally from Bowie, Maryland, he developed his artistic foundation under the guidance of his father, Gerald Boisvert, a fledgling artist. He later deepened his knowledge through art theory and application classes at the University of Maryland. Boisvert’s distinctive personal style is characterized by vibrant, colorful compositions that blend elements of Abstract, Post-Impressionism, Primitivism, and Synthetism. Employing single-point perspective, his paintings use flowing shapes, rich colors, and dynamic lines to evoke emotion and guide the viewer’s eye in continuous movement across the canvas. His work is influenced by his father, Gerald Boisvert, as well as iconic figures such as Keith Haring, Louis Rosemont, and Tristan Eaton. He works primarily in acrylic paint, often incorporating mixed media, while his photography spans both color and black-and-white formats. Boisvert views artistry as an innate calling rather than solely an academic pursuit. Though formally trained, he has refined his voice through hands-on experience, continuous self-study, trial and error, and close observation of master artists. One of his paintings has been featured on a label for Rare Character Whiskey Company’s bourbon, and multiple works are currently on display at Craft Spirits Social in Bonita Springs, Florida. Boisvert’s art has been exhibited at various Alliance of the Arts shows and resides in private collections across the country through commissioned pieces for client homes. _____________________________________________________________ Member Gallery Sport A Themed Call for Artists Sign up for tryouts!
