Performance Dates: • June 25, 26, 27 at 7:30pm • June 27 & 28 at 2:00pm About the Show: Based loosely on Puccini’s La Bohème, Jonathan Larson’s groundbreaking musical Rent follows a year in the life of a group of struggling young artists in New York’s Lower East Side at the height of the HIV/AIDS crisis. Their personal lives collide and unravel — Roger and Mimi fight demons both internal and external, Tom and Angel search for love and dignity, Maureen and Joanne tango between passion and chaos, and Mark tries to document it all while wondering where he fits in. With electric rock-opera energy and raw emotional depth, Rent tackles love, loss, survival, identity, and what it means to live fully in the face of hardship. It remains one of the most powerful and transformative works in modern musical theatre.
