Explore the art of sculpting delightful free-standing turtles with intricately designed shells while Jeff teaches the basic techniques of sculpting with masking tape. This class is suitable for all skill levels, from beginners exploring their creativity to experienced artists wanting to experiment with a new medium. Jeff’s teaching style is relaxed and conversational, encouraging individual creativity. You will learn how to layer and manipulate masking tape and paper, using glass marbles for the eyes, and wire for the legs, head and tail. Turtle sculptures will stand approximately 5 inches tall and 7 inches long. By the end of the class, you’ll have your own unique masking tape-sculpted turtle as well as an instructional guide detailing how to seal and paint your sculpture at home using easy to find materials.
