About this event
One of 23 upcoming events at Altria Theater | Official Website, and 982 across Richmond.
Join the Richmond Pops Band, directed by Earl E. Shaffer, Jr, for an exciting evening of wind band music, including a musical tribute to the veterans of our American Armed Forces. The performance will feature a variety of sounds and styles, including iconic masterworks, patriotic favorites and Americana classics. The Pops will be joined by fabulous local vocal soloist Emma Potts, guest conductor Michael Warnock, and approximately 30 of the finest young student musicians that Central Virginia has to offer! Richmond Pops concerts are offered free-of-charge as a service to our community; however, your donations are what allow these performances to continue in the future! We hope you'll consider supporting us through a donation when you reserve your tickets. For your convenience and safety, bags that are no larger than 12” x 8” x 6", diaper bags, and medical bags (subject to search upon entry) are permitted inside the venue. Backpacks, boxes, and laptop bags or briefcases do not apply and will not be permitted into the venue. Any guests who require ADA or medical accommodations may contact the venue’s administrative office for assistance in advance of your visit. More information can be found here. MobileConnect - Assisted Listening Device App Sennheiser Mobile Connect is an application allowing you to utilize your phone as an assisted listening device. This will allow you to plug in headphones, or utilize your existing hearing aids depending on their capability to hear the audio of the show in a much more personal way. Assisted listening devices are available upon request from the Concierge Desk located in the Box Office Lobby on West Main Street. A valid driver’s license or photo ID will be requested as a deposit for the equipment. We offer two types of receivers, and stock enough of each type to meet ADA requirements according to the percentage of audience capacity. The receivers we distribute most often are the stethoset variety, which includes integrated earbud-style transducers, and are worn like a stethoscope. We also offer pendant or necklace receivers, which come on their own lanyard and feature a 3.5mm (1/8") connector, which is the standard headphone connection found on smartphones, iPods, ADA ATM cash machines, etc. We can provide these pendant receivers with inductive neck loops, which allow compatibility with T-Coil hearing aids. These receivers are also compatible with cochlear implants featuring 3.5mm Direct Audio Input, personal headphones, or any other device that has a 3.5mm audio input. Kulture City sensory bags containing special KCVIP badges, fidget toys, noise canceling headphones and other resources, are available for checkout (at no cost by leaving an ID) at our Concierge desk located in the Altria Theater Box Office Lobby.
