Beloved for her work on The Carol Burnett Show and Mama’s Family, Lawrence takes the stage with a lively mix of stand-up comedy, personal stories, and observations about everyday life. Along with her celebrated comedy career, this multitalented entertainer earned a gold record for her 1973 hit, “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia.” Then it’s Mama’s turn! The sharp-tongued, sensible-shoe-wearing Thelma Harper steps into the spotlight with strong opinions and plenty to say. With Mama, expect the unexpected—and a whole lot of laughs. Discovered while still in high school, Lawrence honed her comedic talents alongside Carol Burnett, creating Mama at just 24 years old. Decades later, both Vicki and her legendary alter ego continue to delight audiences with their wit, charm, and unmistakable personalities. Enjoy two unforgettable personalities in one entertaining evening! For certain concerts, audience members may prefer to stand or dance, especially when encouraged by the artist to do so. Guest expectations differ, so we simply ask all attendees to extend mutual respect toward one another and maintain awareness of those around them. Our staff will only intervene in matters of safety or when behavior is deemed unruly, combative, or disruptive to the overall performance.
