About this event
One of 25 upcoming events at American School of Storytelling, and 4,444 across Minneapolis.
During the MN State Fair we will offer our August in-person class on ‘Walking to Find Stories and Poems’. For many years I have offered a folkloric tour of the MN State Fair and this year, I am folding it into a hands-on class that I dearly love. This will be a two-hour guided tour of State Fair highlights – butter head sculpture, seed crop art, Steichen’s store, and more – ending with your creation of a story or poem inspired by some aspect of the tour. The exact date TBD by agreement of the registered participants. Cost: $20 plus your fair admission. Food on a stick, roast corn, beer, or other foodstuffs are also on your own and may be worthy of a poem. To register: Add the number of tickets you want by clicking the ‘+’ button Click the ‘Get Tickets’ button Note- After purchase, tickets & receipt may arrive in your ‘Junk Mail’ folder
