This class meets Thursday and Friday, May 7 and 8, from 10 am-4 pm both days. Celebrate the return of warmth and light! Create an original floral watercolor design inspired by the season’s gardens and farmers markets. Students will work from a selection of local buds and blooms as well as photo references. Artist and instructor Tara Sweeney will provide examples, step-by-step demonstrations, expert tip in color mixing, drawing, and painting, and plenty of individualized feedback. Bring home an original floral design suitable for framing or gifting for seasonal celebrations! Additional information: Skill level: All skill levels welcome. No prior drawing or painting experience needed. Materials: This class requires students to provide their own materials and floral props. Please view the required materials list here. Some optional pre-class exercises and information about selecting props will be shared about a week ahead. Age range: Suitable for ages 18+. Advanced registration required.
