This presentation by Robert Comeau will discuss the properties and history of the many burial sites used by the people of Amherst through the centuries. The four cemeteries within Amherst will be stressed but also the Catholic, Jewish, and Native Americans burial sites in nearby communities which were used by the residents of Amherst will be discussed. Presenter is Robert Comeau of Canal Days. He has given tours and presentations in Hampshire and Hampden Counties for 12 years on topics such as canals, churches, cemeteries, and homes. This event is funded via the Amherst Local Cultural Council which is part of the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
