Make One of My Healing Bags: Carrying Our Stories with Folklore & Folktales Artist Felicia L. Reed Inspired by All That She Carried by Tiya Miles, this intimate fiber art workshop explores the ancestral tradition of carrying a bag—not simply for what we need, but for what we value, remember, protect, and pass forward. Award-winning fiber artist Felicia L. Reed will guide participants in creating a one-of-a-kind Healing Bag from vintage and repurposed fabric pieces, trims, and embellishments. Through gentle coaching, storytelling, and creative guidance, participants will consider: What do I carry? What am I ready to release? What do I want to carry forward? No advanced art or sewing experience is required. Each participant will leave with a personal, functional work of art—a vessel for memory, intention, healing, and connection to those who carried before us. We carry bags. We carry stories. We carry each other forward.
