Leader: Dave Walters, ABDNHA volunteer Level 4, Short Wheel Base Only We meet at the parking area on the corner of CA-79 & San Felipe Rd (S2) at 9:00 a.m., then caravan on CA-79 to US Forest trail 8S07 a.k.a. Temecula Creek (elev. 2000 feet). Traveling up the mountain trail 8S07, we turn onto 9S07 Palomar Divide Trail and drive on to the high point of the trip at elev. 5880 feet where we stop and have a lunch break on the east slope in an area of Black Oak and conifer trees. After driving 25 miles of mountain trail, we say goodbye. Bring food/water, a chair, a hat, and appropriate clothing. We will use 2-way radio GRMS channel 15. Stop by the Nature Center or call 760-767-3098 to reserve.
