About this event
One of 24 upcoming events at Arizona Musicfest, and 4,999 across Phoenix.
One might consider this the “golden age” of audio recording, pioneered by groups like the Beatles, and Beach Boys. Here we also see the rise of record producers as major influences over the sound of each records—icons that have become household names like Phil Spector, Sir George Martin, and Quincy Jones. We will be joined by Mr. Keith Munson, one of the studio managers of EastWest Studios in Los Angeles. EastWest has a storied history with such major recordings as “Monday, Monday”, “My Way”, the Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds, and Elvis’ 1968 “comeback special” recorded there. Keith will give us a virtual tour of the studio, following up with a Q&A session.
