Promoting and supporting Arlington's David M. Brown Planetarium as an accessible community resource for all people to learn, engage, and be inspired by the wonders of science and the universe. Get Tickets for this Event New observatories, like Vera Rubin, allow us to quickly scan large areas of the sky, so we can discover and observe more cosmic events happening in real time. When we combine live telescope data with cosmic ray, neutrino, and gravitational wave detector data, we can build a more complete picture of dramatic cosmic events in our universe as they unfold. Follow scientists at the International Gemini Observatory as they collaborate with other observatories to observe events happening in the night sky. Learn how they discover wandering asteroids, stellar explosions, and black holes!
