About this event
One of 413 upcoming events at Around the Curtain Community Children's Theatre.
This engaging high school geared history course takes students on a deep dive into some of the most infamous figures in world history. Each week, students will examine a different historical “villain,” exploring the events, decisions, and cultural contexts that shaped their rise to power and legacy. Rather than simply labeling individuals as good or evil, the course challenges students to think critically about leadership, morality, propaganda, and how history is written. Students will analyze primary and secondary sources, participate in guided discussions, and develop research and writing skills as they investigate how and why these figures are remembered the way they are. Topics may include political leaders, military figures, and controversial influencers across various eras and regions. By the end of the course, students will have a stronger understanding of historical complexity and will be better equipped to evaluate how perspective and power shape the stories we inherit.
