Exhibition: The Best of Plein Air 2026

The Best of Plein Air 2026 September 1 - 28 Opening reception: Sunday, September 6 from 1:00 - 2:30 PM as part of First Sundays Open Studios Studio 114, Art Bias This open-call exhibition of plein air artworks -- juried by Susan Grabowski, Scott Johnson, and Andrea Kosmo -- focuses on works created by Bay Area artists "en plein air" -- or outdoors in front of the subject. The local plein air network is vibrant, with many of the artists meeting up to paint together and share their work with each other. There are a number of local groups that often go out to paint together. Join us for the opening reception and awards presentation to meet the artists and see 45 examples of their best plein air work in oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, and gouache. Light refreshments provided. This event is free and all are welcome!
