The exhibit “Mosaico: Italian Code of Timeless Art” opens on Oct. 25 at the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum at Florida International University in collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute of Miami. This exhibition highlights 2,000 years of Italian mosaic tradition through digital installations and rare artifacts. To better guide the viewer in understanding the historical roots of the medium, the exhibition will also feature three mosaic artifacts. Admission to the museum is free and is located at the FIU Modesto Maidique Campus at 10975 SW. 17 St. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on Mondays and most federal holidays.
