Be Artful Group Exhibition by the Palm Beach Watercolor Society March 6 – March 27, 2026 Back Room Gallery Special Events: Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony, March 6, 6 – 9pm. Awards presentation 7pm. Closing Special Event, March 27, 5 – 8pm This exhibition presents a cohesive group of talented artists coming together to display their work in a unified setting. The featured artists include skilled watercolorists and acrylic painters, each bringing their distinctive styles and techniques. The watercolorists predominantly focus on landscapes and floral subjects, capturing nature’s delicate beauty with fluidity and transparency. In contrast, the acrylic artists often explore abstract expressionist styles, using bold colors and dynamic forms to evoke emotion and movement. The choice to paint primarily in water-based media highlights the versatility and expressive potential of these materials. Watercolor allows for subtle washes and softness, lending itself well to the depiction of natural scenes, while acrylics offer vibrancy and texture that enhance the abstract works. Together, these mediums enrich the exhibit by creating a diverse visual and emotional experience. Creativity is at the core of the Palm Beach Watercolor Society’s artistic practice. In this group exhibition of 32 artists, each member brings a unique vision and approach. The exhibition not only reflects individual artistic journeys but also fosters a sense of community among the member artists, all of whom share a passion for exploring and pushing the boundaries of their chosen watermedium.
