Fall 2026 International Artist-in-Residence Opening Reception

Artpace invites you to the opening of the Fall 2026 International Artist-in-Residence’s exhibitions on Thursday, September 17, from 6-9PM. The evening offers a look at the incredible work by artists Irene Antonia Diane Reece, Roksana Pirouzmand, and Chavis Mármol created during their Artpace residencies, along with a curator-led talk featuring Guest Curator Rigoberto Luna. We’re thrilled for the public to see the incredible installations these artists have created during their time in San Antonio, and we hope to see you there! Location: Artpace San Antonio | 445 N Main Ave | Free parking at 513 N Flores Residency: July 27, 2026 – September 20, 2026 Opening Reception: September 17, 2026 | 6-9PM Exhibitions on View: September 17, 2026 > January 17, 2027 About the Guest Curator | Recognized for a curatorial practice that bridges local perspectives with national and international conversations in contemporary art, Luna is the co-founder of Presa House Gallery, an artist-run space established in 2016 dedicated to presenting innovative exhibitions by emerging and mid-career artists, with a curatorial emphasis on Latinx and underrepresented communities across Texas and the broader Southwest. As the Cohort 06 Curatorial Fellow at NXTHVN, Luna opened “All At Once: Reflected Through Glass” in New Haven, Connecticut, in March 2025, followed by “The Things Left Unsaid” at James Cohan Gallery in New York City in May. Following the completion of his fellowship in July, he guest-curated “Ya Hecho: Readymade in the Borderlands” at the Tucson Museum of Art. He recently curated “Soy de Tejas: A Statewide Survey of Latinx Art,” a landmark exhibition that debuted at Centro de Artes in San Antonio and opened at The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture in October 2025. His past work includes curatorial contributions to the Texas Biennial, as well as projects at ArtYard, Blaffer Art Museum, and the Chicano Park Museum and Cultural Center.
