PERFORMER BIO: Johnbern Thomas is a percussionist, composer, producer, and bandleader based in Orlando, bringing an intoxicating blend of modern jazz steeped in Haitian and Caribbean traditions. Blending Kreyòl rhythms with expressive improvisation, his music moves between deep grooves and soaring melodies while honoring the spirit of his Haitian roots. He has performed for audiences across the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, South America, and the United States, and has collaborated with acclaimed artists including Grammy Winner: Miguel Zenón, 3 Time Grammy winner Zach Brock, Aaron Goldberg, Jean Caze, Godwin Louis, Don Braden, Julie Michels, Emeline Michel, Strings, Rutshelle Guillaume and the late Mikaben. As a performer, producer, and advocate for Haitian culture, he is passionate about supporting and inspiring the next generation of Haitian artists while sharing the richness of Haiti’s musical heritage with audiences around the world.
