JOIN THE WAITLIST The first two days of this camp will be about tearing up, mashing, blending and laying out paper to dry into curated sheets – cut and folded into books we will make on the following three days. There are so many ways to make a book! Picture journals with ribbons, folded snake books and bedazzled covers! Meet the Instructor: Maggie Imhoff Maggie Imhoff is an educator of twenty-three years, including, most recently, the Art teacher at Ira B Jones elementary school in Asheville, NC. She has taught at several summer camps, created outdoor art experiences for kids as well as directed at a children’s circus. She loves to celebrate art in her everyday life. She knits, paints, sings, and dances. This quote from Phylicia Rashad sums it up: “Before a child speaks, it sings. Before they write, they paint. As soon as they stand, they dance. Art is the basis of human expression.” As an art educator, it brings her joy to bring art to children’s lives.
Established by artists, open for all to experience American art of the 20th and 21st centuries. Share your visit: #ashevilleartmuseum
