Join us at the Museum for a harmonious blend of artistic inspiration and mindful movement! Our Saturday sessions are from 9:30–11am on January 24, February 21, March 28, April 18, May 23, and June 20. Experience how close looking at art and practicing yoga in the beautiful spaces of the Museum can foster relaxation and connection. Each class pass and yoga session includes a guided mindful looking session in one of the Museum’s current exhibitions. After class, you’re invited to the John & Robyn Horn Education Center (level 3) for a complimentary cup of tea and artful conversation. All levels are welcome. Please bring your own yoga mat. No mat, no problem, the Museum has some extra mats to lend. Loose-fitting clothing is recommended, ensuring ease of movement as you flow through your practice. Benefits: Mindful Connection: connect with the present moment as you flow through your practice in relation to a thought-provoking artwork. Artistic Inspiration: take advantage of practicing yoga in one of the most inspiring interior spaces in Asheville. Fuel your creativity and enhance the mind-body connection while meeting other artful yogis. Practical Tips: Arrive a little early to settle into the Museum’s ambiance and find your preferred spot in the gallery. Space is limited; advance registration is required. The Art of Yoga series is taught by certified yoga instructors and Museum staff. For more information, email learn@ashevilleart.org or call 828.253.3227 x121. Register Now
