Join us in conversation with "The Book Club for Troublesome Women" author Marie Bostwick! Marie Bostwick is a prolific New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author. Her uplifting contemporary and historical fiction novels have been translated into a dozen languages and are popular across the globe. Marie lives in Washington with her husband and their marvelously pampered Cavalier King Charles spaniel. The Book Club for Troublesome Women tells the story of a book club-turned-sisterhood in 1963, one of the most tumultuous years in American history. When Margaret invites fellow housewives Charlotte, Bitsy, and Viv to form a book club, she’s thinking along the lines of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, but Charlotte suggests Betty Friedan’s controversial new book The Feminine Mystique instead. Amid heartfelt discussions and shared confidences, they discover a mutual longing for lives that don’t quite fit the ‘American dream.’ Bostwick’s novel visits a pivotal year in American history and in the lives of one vibrant sisterhood. Doors Open at 5:30PM The event is free and open to the public. Book copies are available for purchase from ...And Books Too! Ms. Bostwick will sign books after the program.
