@ Southwest Soul: Rhythm, Roots & Horns The Dina Preston Band brings Southwest Soul: Rhythm, Roots & Horns to ASU Kerr for a benefit concert supporting Andre House, a Phoenix nonprofit serving people experiencing homelessness and poverty. Based in Arizona and performing internationally, the band blends Americana, country, classic rock, blues, soul and Southwest influences. Led by vocalist Dina Preston-Ortiz and guitarist Don Ortiz, the six-piece group also features Mike King on bass, Adam Campeau on horns, vocals and multiple instruments, Dave Schmit on saxophone and Henry Lara on drums. Known for their mix of original music, strong vocal harmonies and horn-driven arrangements, the Dina Preston Band draws on a range of American musical traditions while reflecting its Southwest roots. A limited number of VIP tickets are available. The package includes premium seating; a meet-and-greet with the band; an opportunity to meet members of the Andre House team; a signed CD, vinyl album or copy of the award-winning book, 31 Cents to 43 Countries; and a photo with the performers. A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit Andre House of Hospitality, a Phoenix nonprofit serving people experiencing homelessness.
