Opera on the Greens

On March 10th, Austin Opera held its first Fundraising Golf Tournament – Opera on the Greens! The fun golf outing, held at Onion Creek Country Club, raised funds to support Austin Opera’s education initiatives like Access Opera and Opera Treasure Chest. Each season, our education programs serve over 15,000 area school children, introducing them to the magic of opera through in-school programming, library performances and workshops, and invitations to see live opera at our city’s premiere performing arts venue, The Long Center for the Performing Arts. For over thirty years, Austin Opera has inspired and engaged children through opera, ensuring no student or school is turned away due to lack of means. Funds raised at the annual Golf Tournament will provide critical funds to support these programs throughout Austin Opera’s season. Your participation and support will help make arts enrichment programs available to every student in Central Texas.
