About this event

@ 🎶🚲 Join Us at the Bike Kitchen! 🚲🎶 We’re turning up the volume at the Bike Kitchen, 158 Canal St. in Malden, for Malden Porchfest – a free, community-powered music festival where local musicians perform live on residential front porches, driveways, or lawns, with a stage for two awesome bands and a night full of good vibes, great music, and even better people. ✨ FREE live performances ✨ Friendly faces & community spirit ✨ A space to hang out, connect, and belong Whether you come for the music, the bikes, or just to meet your neighbors, there’s a spot for you here. Bring your friends, bring your energy, and come make some memories with us! 📍 Bike Kitchen — 158 Canal St. 🎸 Free admission • All are welcome The schedule will be as follows: 3-3:30pm – Amir Hafez and his existential dread Indie Electronic Folk Jazz 4 piece jazz fusion dance band that plays live covers from daft punk, The Bee Gees, Jon batiste, and many more from the 70s – to the now. We got the most innovative talent in the band and we are looking to play live and all over the world. We are here, present and excited to bring the funk to the crowd and our new ep apocalypse meow is our for all the heard and seen. 4-4:45pm – Gompson Rock Rising from the ashes of ’90s Boston pop icons The Barnies, Gompson delivers a unique sound that’s lush, angular, hopeful, and raw—fearless of any one genre. Drawing inspiration from Radiohead to Pixies, they push boundaries with songs that surprise and resonate. Led by principal songwriter Avram Gleitsman, who’s worked with Blue Man Group, and backed by local veterans Pete Sutton, Ken Lafler, and Nathan Logus, Gompson captures the spirit of regional culture and the legendary “Barney” identity with humor and heart.
