Led by Sharon Friedler and Jon Sherman, Adult Dance for Health and Joy is an all-accessible community movement class designed especially for absolute beginner dance lovers ages 20 and up. The class integrates movement from modern, ballet, tap, folk, and social dancing. Choreographic repertory will engage participants’ minds and bodies and create an enjoyable, social environment for artistic exploration. Class begins with sequences that build rhythmic ability, core strength, and flexibility and work up to a wide variety of more developed movement sequences. Whether you’re stepping into a studio for the first time or rediscovering your love for movement, expect laughter, encouragement, and timeless moves in a fun, welcoming space. All classes are accompanied by diverse musical selections and end with a closing ritual that recognizes the contributions of each participant. This class is open to all movers. No experience necessary, and all are welcome! Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. This event is for ages 20+. Community Pop-Ups, presented by PNC Arts Alive We want you to move with us! Experience BalletX beyond the stage at free performances and events all season long. Whether at a neighborhood pop-up or a Free Friday dance class at our studio, embrace your creativity, forge new connections, and celebrate the joy of moving together. Join our email list and follow us on social media to see where we’ll be next.
