Monthly on the second Thursday the library offers an Adult Craft Night! These events are either a drop-in, DIY-style program with directions, samples, and all materials provided OR an instructor-led program. Check each month to see which type of program we're offering. Drop-in events do not require pre-registration, but instructor-led events may require registration, and may have a limited number of spaces. These events are FREE thanks to the Friends of Bancroft Library! ******* For our October 2019 Craft Night: Create a community work of art! Let’s work together and create beauty from discarded materials. October’s Craft Night will introduce participants to basic weaving skills. The woven discs will then be joined into a larger art piece to be displayed in Bancroft Library. A basket of supplies and instructions will be available in the library through November 1, 2019 so that the community may continue to participate and create. This project is appropriate for all ages and levels of skill. Let’s make it a true COMMUNITY project! **If you have old compact discs (disc only please, no cases), yarns, or fibers for weaving that you could contribute they will be gratefully accepted at Bancroft Library. Look for the bin labeled ‘Community Weaving Project’ in the foyer and leave items within.**
