Yvonne Rogers - piano Steph Clement - trumpet Kanoa Mendenhall - bass Jonas Esser - drums Yvonne Rogers is a pianist and composer from coastal Maine, now based in Brooklyn, NY. Her work is rooted in improvisation and play, with an organic approach to rhythm and harmony informed by her rural upbringing. She is in demand as a bandleader and side-person, performing with artists including Adam O’Farrill and Ingrid Laubrock at venues and festivals worldwide from NYC Winter Jazz Fest to North Sea Jazz Festival. She has received the Next Jazz Legacy Award and Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composers Award, and has a bi-monthly performance residency at Close Up NYC. Her debut album “Seeds” was released in 2023. Her solo album “The Button Jar,” produced by Kris Davis, will be released on Pyroclastic Records May 8th. She has released several recordings with the experimental electronic collective “My Trio,” and her forthcoming quartet record “Brackish” will be released on Intakt Records in January 2027.
