Barnstable County Board of Regional Commissioners – Public Hearing

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING A public hearing is scheduled regarding the following petition: Pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 160, Section 104, MassDOT requests that the Barnstable County Board of Regional Commissioners determine that public necessity and convenience require the construction of two new at-grade public shared-use path railroad crossings associated with the Sagamore Bridge Replacement Project, Phase 1 of Cape Cod Bridges: Mid-Cape Connector crossing and the Keith Field Recreation Area crossing. The Barnstable County Board of Regional Commissioners voted to appoint 5:00 PM on Wednesday November 4, 2026, at the Bourne Community Center, 239 Main St, Buzzards Bay, MA 02532, as the time and place for a meeting of the Commissioners to hear the parties thereon. This public notice shall be posted in two public places in the Town of Bourne and published the petitions and the notice in a newspaper of general circulation in the Town, with the last publication coming at least 7 days prior to the hearing (GL c.82, §3). A copy of the said petition and of this order thereon is on file with the Town of Bourne Clerk and the Barnstable County Clerk and available by request; such posting and publication to be 14 days at least before said hearing that all persons interested may have notice of said petition and appointment, and, if they see cause, appear at the meeting aforesaid and be heard.
