In partnership with the Connecticut Audubon Society, discover the fascinating world of woodpeckers during this special morning at the Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens! The program begins with a guided bird walk at 7:30 a.m., where participants will explore the arboretum in search of local woodpecker species and learn about their unique behaviors, habitats, and identifying features. Following the walk, gather indoors at 9:00 a.m. for a screening of a captivating PBS Nature documentary, narrated by Paul Giamatti, showcasing remarkable woodpecker species from around the globe. The program concludes by 10:00 a.m. Whether you're an avid birder or simply curious about these incredible birds, this is a wonderful opportunity to experience them both in the field and on the big screen.
