Celebrate Mother’s Day with an Elegant Morning Tea! Treat Mom (or yourself!) to a delightful morning at the Bartow History Museum with local author Valerie Holt leading a special Mother’s Day Tea. This two-hour session combines charm and learning as Valerie shares the traditions, etiquette, and secrets of hosting a perfect tea party. Guests will enjoy a beautiful tea service featuring a variety of teas, classic sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats – all while picking up tips to create their own elegant tea gatherings at home. This event is open to all ages and makes a wonderful way to spend quality time with mothers, daughters, friends, or family. Space is limited, so advance registration is required. About the Speaker Dr. Valerie Holt is a Cartersville native with a lifelong passion for education and food. She spent 30 years teaching public school, including 17 years in Home Economics, and competed in national cooking competitions such as the Pillsbury Bake-Off, National Cornbread Cook-Off, and National Beef Cook-Off. She has authored two cookbooks and now serves as a professor in the School of Education at Berry College, teaching graduate-level courses for future educators.
