About this event
One of 5 upcoming events at Baton Rouge Gallery, and 63 across Baton Rouge.
Join us Sunday, August 23, at 4pm, as we host Maxine Crump with Dialogue on Race as she hosts a panel discussion followed by a facilitated dialogue session that invites participants to examine key historical experiences that shaped racial dynamics in the United States. The panel will feature speakers with knowledge of the Domestic Slave Trade, Great Migration, and Jim Crow. Panelists will provide historical context that will provide the basis for the dialogue conversation. Participants will have the opportunity to connect these topics to ongoing conversation about race, memory, and community understanding. The purpose of this program is to create an informed and respectful space for learning, reflection, and dialogue. By combining historical perspective with structured conversation, the event will support expanded understanding and encourage meaningful engagement among participants.
