Cost: $40/person – calligraphy kit included Venue: BHA – 30 North Broad Street, Bayfield. Join the Bayfield Heritage Association for one of our hands-on classes on the timeless art of calligraphy! This workshop is based on our newest exhibit, Leonard Anderson’s iconic paintings of the Apostle Islands and Bayfield. Leonard’s grandniece, Dr. Alicia Peters will explore his career as a skilled calligrapher and guide us through the fundamentals of classic calligraphic lettering and design principles. This is a meaningful way to connect with Anderson’s artistic legacy while practicing a historic art form that is increasingly rare in our digital age. Each participant will leave with their very own calligraphy kit! Class sizes are limited—please email trisha@bayfieldheritage.org to reserve your spot! Payment will be collected at the door. This workshop is made possible in part through support from the Chequamegon Bay Arts Council/Norvado Mini Grant.
