Presented with expert instruction by Kim Geisler of Transcending Roots. Safely formulate a skin-safe bug repellent you can share with friends and family! Join us for an afternoon of functional herbalism! Learn how to work with herbs to keep biting insects at bay and care for your skin when they do bite. Walk away with ready-to-use repellent, the knowledge to make more at home, and a deeper connection to the plants that protect us. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore plants that help repel mosquitoes, midges, deer flies, and ticks, and discuss how to craft effective, skin-safe bug repellent at home. We’ll also cover simple herbal first aid for bites and stings so you know what to do when the inevitable happens. Each participant will create a topical herbal repellent and get to meet several plant allies commonly used for soothing and supporting bite care.
