Brazilian Popular Music (Choro): Aug 10-14 for age 12 through college level, and adults. Learn exciting, rhythmic music; stretch your abilities, work on improvisation skills. (Strings, woodwinds, percussion, guitar, mandolin,cavaquinho (a Brazilian kind of ukelele- notes from low to high: CGAD) Faculty: Karen with Stuart Zobel, 7-string guitar THIS YEAR, SPECIAL GUEST ALL THE WAY FROM SAO PAOLO, BRAZIL: Brilliant guitarist ALLESANDRO PENEZZI with his trio from the San Francisco area:JANE LENOIR, flute; and BRIAN RICE percussion. Percussion includes “pandeiro” which is like a Brazilian tambourine. Beginning percussionists may be included on simple shakers. Performances at the end of each camp in Karen’s Zen Garden
