COMMUNITY EVENT: Wild Whatcom Out and About

Out and About is a monthly nature program for queer adults (18+). Join us for Finding Our Light Queer Campfire | Saturday, December 12, 2026 | 4:30-6:30PM With the darkest day of the year, the winter solstice, just around the corner, join us for a healing time outdoors as we reflect on our year, set intentions for the new year ahead. After thinking about the ways that plants and animals get through the coldest months, we will open the floor to share the things that help us each get through the darkest parts of winter. The holidays can be a complicated time for many queer folks, and this is a space to build local community by sharing thoughts, feelings, and food with new friends! We will bring some snacks to share and “break bread” as a community, but if you’d like to bring a favorite food, whether store bought or home-made, the more the better!
