Blending performance footage, personal interviews, and archival film, Oscar-winning director Morgan Neville explores the personal journeys of a small group of Silk Road mainstays in his acclaimed documentary The Music of Strangers: Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble, a vivid portrait of Ma’s bold musical experiment and a global search for the ties that bind. This screening will include a talkback with tabla virtuoso Sandeep Das, an original member of the Silk Road Ensemble. In collaboration with The Triplex Cinema and Berkshire International Film Festival.
