Celebrate insects and the vital ecological services they provide! Bernheim will be abuzz with excitement as we get curious about the small creatures that play a big role in healthy ecosystems. Celebrate our six- and eight-legged friends through hands-on experiences, guided exploration, music, creativity, and more! Be sure to sign up for time slots at the Information Tent during the event. Join us at 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m., and 2 p.m. Insect Zoo: Transform your fears into fascination by meeting native insects and invertebrates up close. Bug Concert with Mr. Dan: At 12:30 p.m., enjoy a delightful Bug Concert with Mr. Dan that promises to be a fun-filled musical experience. Bug-Themed Crafts: Get creative with bug-themed crafts and engage in hands-on activities. Nature Discovery Stations: Spark curiosity and wonder with interactive and educational nature discovery stations. Bug Parade: Dress up as your favorite critter and join the Bug Parade at 1:30 p.m. for a whimsical and festive procession. Special Guests: Shannon and Anthony Trimboli from The Backyard Ecology™ will offer quick and easy garden tips. Shannon and Anthony are life-long nature lovers who are passionate about sharing their love of nature with others. They live in southcentral Kentucky where they co-host Backyard Ecology. Through Backyard Ecology they combine their fun and quirky personalities with their ecological and conservation backgrounds to teach people about the native plants, pollinators, and wildlife found in the eastern U.S. Visit the Backyard Ecology™ YouTube channel to learn more. Kevin Weiner from All Bugs Go to Kevin will be back at BugFest this year. Through his social media accounts and All Bugs Go to Kevin Facebook group, Kevin highlights the benefits of spiders, insects, and other arthropods in the hopes of turning fear into fascination. This is a FREE event; a $15 suggested admission per car applies to non-members.
