Bethany Kids CREATE Saturdays DATES & TIMES: All Saturdays are 10AM-12:30PM September 19, 26, October 10, 17, 24, November 7, 14, December 5, 12, 19, 2026 AGES: 3-7 Years Old Ages 3-5 with Elizabeth Ages 6-7 with Ruby Instructors Elizabeth and Ruby specialize in their age group. Every project is designed to be just the right fit and accessible for each age. Sliding Scale Per Class: $50-65 We ask that you contribute at the level that reflects your family’s needs at this time. If you’re able to contribute at a higher level, know that it goes directly toward sustaining this program and providing more opportunities for our community to participate in the arts. Bethany Kids CREATE Saturdays is an exploratory, process-based art class for young artists to CREATE, express themselves, and build friendships. CREATors embark on innovative art projects designed to spark imagination and encourage artists to think outside the box. Projects might include sculpture building, printmaking, working with nature-based materials, and much more. We’ll explore a wide range of art forms and unique art materials — all while learning new artistic skills, practicing kindness, team building and acceptance. Come ready to explore and CREATE — dress for mess, and dress for outside. Bring a nut-free snack. *Registration required by 3PM on Friday* Register Here! All sales are final. ——- INSTRUCTORS & BIOS: Elizabeth Montanile (she/her) Instructor: ages 3-5 Elizabeth was born in Puerto Rico and now currently resides in Dobbs Ferry, New York. From a young age, she has always been creative, working across as many mediums as possible. One of her favorite mediums is photography, and she graduated from the Hallmark Institute of Photography in 2012. During her time at Hallmark, Elizabeth discovered not only a deep love for photography but also a passion for working with children, particularly through portraiture. This experience led her to pursue an education in early childhood, and she is now a teacher at Elmwood Day School. Elizabeth has been the Director of Bethany Kids CREATE Summer Program for the last three years. In her teaching, Elizabeth encourages young artists to work together as a community. She created the Bethany bees: Bee kind, Bee creative, Bee helpful, Bee brave, and Bee you! — not only to honor the bees on Bethany’s property but also to encourage a safe space for kids to be themselves, work together, and find the artist they are. When she is not teaching, Elizabeth can be found in her studio at Bethany, where she creates her mosaic jewelry pieces! Ruby Sgueglia (they/them) Instructor: ages 6-7 Ruby Sgueglia is a multimedia artist and art educator currently residing in Putnam County, New York. They have experience in a wide variety of artistic mediums, with a particular concentration on painting and drawing. Ruby has taught a little bit of everything to people of all ages and backgrounds, but nothing is as consistently inspiring and exciting as getting to teach in environments like Bethany Kids CREATE Summer Program, where they have been the Art Instructor for three years now. They believe that every child deserves the chance to be creative in a place where there is no judgement, no emphasis on failure or success, guided only by exploration and expression.
