But when their childhood best friend dies by suicide as they prepare for their wedding, the couple is forced to confront grief, identity, and the uncertain future they imagined together. CAST & CREW Presented by Tres Brujas Productions & Molly Canu Written by Molly Canu Directed by Mark Cajigao Cast – Robert Dumont, Hayley Gasbarro, John Gionis, Gwendolyn Torrence ABOUT THE CAST & CREW Molly Canu (Playwright) is a playwright, storyteller, and producer whose work explores family, identity, and the beautiful mess of being human. Raised in the Adirondacks and now based in Tarrytown, she often finds herself telling stories throughout Westchester and NYC, occasionally acting, and passionately writing about the unexpected turns that shape our lives. Her work has been recognized by the London Independent Story Prize and performed at Bethany Arts Community, Elmwood Playhouse, and Maker’s Central. When she isn’t pursuing creative endeavors, she owns and operates the Fit Inn in Tarrytown and is the mother of two amazing boys. Mark Cajigao (Director) is thrilled to bring Molly Harrington Canu’s It’ll Be Fine to Bethany Arts Community. An actor, singer, director, and producer, Mark has worked on stage and in film in NYC, regionally, and as far abroad as Cairo, Egypt. Now settled in Hastings-on-Hudson with his wife and two kids, he’s grateful to play and collaborate with everyone at River’s Edge, where he recently directed Nick Payne’s Constellations, Johnna Adams’s World Builders, and appeared as The Stranger in Peek-a-Boo, Theseus/Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Capulet in Romeo & Juliet. He also curates RETCo’s Cold Reads series, in which local actors tackle a different play each month with no prior rehearsal. Other favorite roles include Dylan Thomas in Dylan, Arthur in Camelot, Einstein in Picasso at the Lapin Agile, John Adams in 1776, Trigorin in The Seagull, and Zach in A Chorus Line. Mark holds degrees from Wagner College and The New School, and is a proud member of Actor’s Equity and SAG-AFTRA. Endless thanks to Alex, Ella, and Henry. Robert Dumont (Jake). Robert is an NY based stage and screen actor with experience spanning drama, comedy, Shakespeare, and musical theater. He currently trains with Anthony Abeson, as well as at HB Studio in NYC. Outside of the actor world, he works in Physical Therapy, where he pretends to be a fully functioning adult. He’s happy to be here with this amazing group of people! Thanks to the dream team, Molly, Mark, and Monica, for allowing me to be a part of this great project! @robertdumontjr Hayley Gasbarro (Julie) is an NYC-based performer, originally from Rhode Island. Her recent theatre credits include Dream Share (Chain Theatre), What Happened to Hannah? (New York Theatre Festival), (Brown University), Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 (Brown University), and Into the Woods (Brown University). She will make her feature film debut in It Visits Me, a horror film currently in post-production. Alongside her acting career, Hayley is the Co-Founder of In Progress, an independent theatre production company created to empower and connect emerging theatre artists. John Gionis (Sam) is a Brooklyn–based actor and director. New York theater credits include Four Evangelists Walk Into a Fog, Stop Kiss, The Proposal, and Adam Driver. Screen credits include Law & Order: Organized Crime, New Amsterdam, and the pilot Martinis. A former attorney, he’s happiest telling stories on stage and screen. Gwendolyn Torrence (Eva) Originally from the DMV (not to be confused with the Department of Motor Vehicles), Gwendolyn is an actor/dancer currently based in Queens. Recent credits include Sacred Monsters (Theater for the New City) Spyglass Seven (Evening Crane Theatre) and Joan of Arc in a Supermarket in California (The Tank). She is a current ensemble member of Blessed Unrest’s training company. Passionate about activism, Gwendolyn started a podcast with her mom (The Folly Chronicles) highlighting the remarkable stories of queer people, POC, and women left out of our history books. She is also a member of Sunrise Movement, an organization fighting for political action and climate change. Montclair State BFA ‘20.
